Greater White-fronted Geese show up occasionally from September through March, usually amongst flocks of Canada and Cackling Geese.  Both adults and juveniles (which lack the barring on the underparts and the white facial mark) are seen.  Typically only 1-3 Greater White-fronted Geese are present at a time, though a couple of times as many as 10 have been present.

On 2010-05-02, Evan Houston reported a flock of ~200 flying overhead, an unusual sighting both for the number and the date.

The best place to look for them is amongst large flocks of geese on the mowed grass fields.
