Northern Shoveler have been seen every year, averaging about 6 sightings per year. They are a winter visitor. We have a few sightings from September and October, with the bulk of sightings from November-January. We've had a handful of sightings each month from February-May. Northern Shoveler are typically seen anywhere there is water, including in any seasonal puddle-ponds during flooded times. We've also seen them simply flying over the park several times. |
