Swan identification is difficult, especially of silent birds flying high overhead (typical), so in many cases we've been unable to identify our swan sightings to species. Most of our swan sightings, though, have been of Trumpeter Swans. We have only two confirmed sightings of Tundra Swan. A lone juvenile was seen a few times from 2007-11-15 through 2007-12-06. It was often seen in the slough, and sometimes in a seasonal puddle-pond in the grass & gravel parking lot north of the grass soccer fields. A lone juvenile was also seen on that seasonal pond on 2009-01-15. |
