November 18, 2025 Meeting Summary

-- see also the October 28, 2025  meeting summary

  1. Welcome and Introductions: Justin Camputaro, Marymoor Park Administrator; Greg Helland, FOMP President, online; Michael Hobbs, Marymoor Bird Survey, FOMP Secretary; Glenn Eades, Eastside Audubon Bird Loop, neighbor

  2. CIP/Project/Facility Updates:

    a.    Eastside Audubon Birdloop:
    – November work party: Great turnout, despite terrible weather.  400+ plants to go in around the viewing mound, and they got them all planted.  Mulch will be spread soon.  There will be a work party first Saturday in December.

    b.    Marymoor Community Gardens: – 4329 lbs. delivered to the Food Bank this year, plus many bouquets of flowers.  It’s great that they can deliver a couple of tons each year!

    c.    R/C Field (MAR/C):
    – No update - their season is over.

    d.    Marymoor Velodrome Association: – Their 2025 season is over.  They are trying to get dates nailed down for 2026 big events.  2025 brought many new members, and a big jump in youth class attendance.

    e.    Sammamish Rowing Association: – No update.

    f:    SODA - Off-leash Dog Area: –
    • Last Hogs Fuel spreading event had ~80 people and spread the last 6 or so piles
    • The lottery was held recently for Dog Walking companies.  There were 10-11 applications and 8 were chosen with the others on wait-list.  Some unlicensed companies still bring dogs, and there really isn’t an enforcement mechanism. To get a license, the companies must sign on to the rules, and must have insurance
    • Dead trees will be removed from within the Off-leash Area on Thursday, December 4th

    g.    Concessions Updates: – Angie Heyer and Keri DeWoody have left the company, and so Seattle Event Solutions is reorganizing, but SES will still be handling the Clise and the alcohol concessions.  Clise Mansion is moving forward with upgrades that will support an actual commercial kitchen capable of full catering.

    h.     Events: –
    • Big women’s lacrosse tournament this Saturday.  Last major event for 2025
    • Cirque load-in starts January 7th.   First show is January 30.  The show will be Echo, with 66 shows through the end of March

    i.     Maintenance Items: –
    • Dead trees will be removed from within the Off-leash Area on Thursday, December 4th
    • Clise gutters and roof work complete
    • Tennis court light switches are active; signage still to come

    j:    Capital Site Planning: –
    • Permitting has delayed the Rain Garden project and the 2nd water main, but they are moving forward
    • Justin is scrambling to make sure there are lights on the path from Light Rail during Cirque
    • A traffic calming and pedestrian project has been kicked off; 2026 is the planning phase with construction maybe as soon as 2027.  This is probably a phased project
    • You can now pay for parking at Marymoor Park using the ParkMobile app.  QR codes are posted at the payment kiosks
k:    Cricket/Multipurpose Facility Proposal: –  Consideration of any a facility is on indefinite pause until after the new King County Executive is sworn in
